What these numbers show — and what they don't
The source is SEC Form 13F, the disclosure institutional investment managers must file with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). It covers long positions in US-listed securities — stocks, plus exchange-traded options and convertible notes, an option being carried at the value of the underlying shares. Cash, short positions, ordinary bonds and holdings outside the US never appear. Filings are quarterly and land up to 45 days after the reporting date, so these figures are an official but delayed and partial view — not a live portfolio.

About Stanley Druckenmiller
Stanley Druckenmiller is one of the most closely watched macro investors of the past half-century. He cut his teeth as George Soros's lead strategist, helping engineer the 1992 trade against the British pound that became known as "breaking the Bank of England." In 1981 he founded his own firm, Duquesne Capital Management, and ran it as one of the industry's standout performers before closing it to outside investors in 2010. Today he oversees Duquesne Family Office, managing primarily his own and his family's capital.
His style is unapologetically top-down. Druckenmiller reads global shifts in interest rates, growth and liquidity, then expresses those calls through a small number of heavily weighted, high-conviction positions rather than broad diversification. He's also known for moving fast, trimming or flipping a position the moment his macro thesis changes. Across decades of managing outside capital, he's frequently cited as never having closed a year in the red.
This page tracks Duquesne Family Office's US equity holdings as disclosed on SEC Form 13F, updated automatically: every position, its portfolio weight, and quarter-over-quarter buys and sells. A few limits are worth knowing. Form 13F only captures long positions in US-listed stocks, filed once per quarter and up to 45 days after quarter-end. Cash, bonds, short positions, non-US holdings and performance figures never appear in it, so what you're looking at is a delayed, partial snapshot rather than a real-time picture of his net worth.
Frequently Asked Questions
Druckenmiller typically runs a concentrated book of high-conviction positions rather than a widely diversified one, and he shifts sector emphasis often as his macro outlook changes. The table on this page lists exactly which US stocks Duquesne Family Office currently holds under SEC Form 13F and how heavily each one is weighted, based on the most recently filed report.
Druckenmiller is known for a relatively high portfolio turnover, adjusting positions as soon as his macro read shifts, so buys and sells can look quite different from one quarter to the next. The buys and sells versus the prior quarter, drawn from the latest SEC filing, are shown in the table at the top of this page.
Druckenmiller runs a macro-driven, top-down strategy: he starts from global trends in interest rates, growth and liquidity, then expresses those views through a handful of heavily weighted stock positions rather than spreading capital thinly. He's also willing to move fast, cutting or reversing a position as soon as his macro thesis changes, which sets him apart from buy-and-hold value investors.
A 13F filing is a mandatory disclosure that institutional investors must submit to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) under Form 13F. Fund managers overseeing more than $100 million in US equities must report their long positions in US-listed stocks once per quarter, with a filing deadline of up to 45 days after quarter-end. The form excludes short positions, most derivatives, bonds, cash, non-US holdings, and any performance or return figures.
Druckenmiller closed his hedge fund, Duquesne Capital Management, to outside investors in 2010 and converted the firm into a family office. Since then he has managed primarily his own and his family's wealth, though he remains required to disclose his US stock long positions in the same SEC format as traditional fund managers.

SEC Form 13F — the mandatory quarterly disclosure institutional investment managers file with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). One filing per quarter, submitted up to 45 days after the reporting date; values are market values on that date, in US dollars.
